INKTOBER 2014!

Wow! October really flew by! I decided that since I was so busy, it would be best for me to just do a big post with all my Inktober drawings in it! I will give you guys some updates in my next post.
So this year for Inktober, I decided to give myself a theme so that I wouldn't get bored. It turned into a story and somehow turned into a 3D project too. I had a lot of fun with it, but it sure was a lot more work than the standard Inktober drawings. I am thinking I will compile all of them into a book that I can sell a little before Halloween next year!

I hope you guys enjoy!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

NEW PRINTS IN MY SOCIETY6 STORE!
www.society6.com/ashleyfairbourne

I am so pooped! Living is definitely exhausting. But I guess you have to decompose one day at a time. GUYS! It's almost INKtober! I can't wait. I am still trying to decide on a theme to make into a possible book for you all. I think I have a basic idea of what I am going to end up doing.
Anyways, don't think I haven't noticed my absence, cos I totally have. And I am sorry. But I have some fun illustrations to show you guys. I seriously can't wait for Halloween! Augh!

Lizards love eyeballs...

This is a quick cartoon of me expressing my deep love for autumn time and pumpkin flavored things.

Hermione Granger for Sketch Dailies prompt the other day. I used to want to be her. I still kind of do. How could I not?

Just your standard pug in a top hat.

Take care this week, guys. xoxo

SOCIETY6 STORE IS OPEN!

Hey guys! Guess what? My Society6 store is open and ready for action!
You can purchase prints, shirts, phone cases and more there! I only have a few things up right now, but I will be adding more to the stop very soon! If you have any suggestions or things you would like to see added, please let me know! I would love to hear from you.

In other news, I have just been drawing stuff for school. I don't really have much school work to show you guys yet, but I do have a quick 10 minute sketch I did with ink of a portrait of a girl. I also went out to eat at a sandwich shop that lets you draw on the sandwich wrapper and hang it up in the store. It was so much fun!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

SKOOL

Well, hey!
School started. Woohoo. So now ill be busier than ever... and hopefully will have some cool projects to show you guys. So far I like my classes a lot. But I guess we will have to see if that changes over time.

I finished a commissioned portrait I did for my friend. He wanted me to mimic the same style I did for my self portrait a little bit ago. I liked the way it turned out.

This was a silly little doodle I did of one of my new professors. He was really young, so this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The whole reasoning behind it is just that there was a skeleton standing next to him and I wanted to draw him as a skeleton. (You know I love Halloween.)

Finally, this was done in my sculpture class. He was just having us try and get the basic shape of a human skull without any details added and this is what I ended up with by the end of the school day. If you know me, then you know that I have never really had any luck with sculpture, but this time around, it was really fun! I can't wait to work on my class project!

Practice with strange lighting

I've got so much to do in so little time! But I am doing a great job of not letting it get the best of me. (yippie) I am moving into my new place this weekend and then starting school the following Monday! I also am in the process of finishing up commissions before the school year starts.

I was commissioned to make a logo and signature for a coworker at the school newspaper.
Check it out!
It is a fashion and photography website. She has some pretty cool stuff planned, so I would definitely keep up with it!

This is little practice sketch that I did of my little sister from an old reference photo I took of her. I was listening to "Amie" by Damien Rice. If you haven't heard his music, I highly recommend it.

I don't have internet at my house.. I might die.

Hey I DON'T HAVE INTERNET. Isn't that the lamest thing you have ever heard?
(Well, technically I do at this precise moment cuz of free coffee shop wifi, but not at my home.)
I am inbetween places and my roommate had to take it for her new house. It's fine. I will get over it. It's only for about a week longer. Anyways, I am surprised that I was able to post on time! Congratulations are in order or whatever.

I went to visit my friend across state this weekend and it was a blast! We went and visited some ruins, which I included a picture of. Also, Robin Williams died. I am sure most of you are tired of talking about it, but it really bummed me out. I drew a quick little doodle of him to help make me feel better. I hope you all are doing swell, and thanks again for all your support! You guys rock!

Happy Birthday, Mr. President

I found a house! Having a home is a really nice thing is what I realized just barely. (duh)
School is sneaking up on me... I am really excited and nervous. But mostly excited to learn and be forced to draw. Also, OCTOBER IS COMING. That alone is the best news ever. I think I am going to be Velma for Halloween.

Short post today because I didn't have a ton of time to draw this past week because I was helping my best friend with her wedding. The good news is that everything went according to plan and she is married! Aww.

This was the main sketch I got to do this week. Marylin Monroe! I am thinking of tweaking a few things and working on a final print for my shop. (It's opening in September now... sorry dudes!)

The best part about this weekend was definitely staying in a cabin in the woods for her bachelorette party. It was gorgeous and we got to star gaze at night. Such a lovely weekend.

I can't stop listening to Elton John

Hey guys!
Do you even understand how much I've been listening to Elton John this past week? It's out of control.
Anyways, I have to find a new place to live (again) ... I really hate moving. It is the worst and top most stressful thing to me. But it's okay because it will be over sooner than I think. I just got to find a place first. (tee hee?)

This is an hour speed painting I did for one of my followers on Instagram. She won the giveaway I did a while ago and the print got lost in the mail! So when I resent the mail, I decided to include a little gift! Isn't she the cutest?

Here is the pottery as promised! This was a father's day present for my dad. He loves the Green Bay Packers, specifically Vince Lombardi. Turned out better than I thought it would... it was my first time painting a portrait on a cup! Sheesh.

These are some "His" and "Her" mugs I made for my friends that just got married. I painted them in her wedding colors and even painted her flower on the bottom.

Thank you all for your love and support! It keeps me plugging along!

cheers,
Ashley Fairbourne
