I've been working on quite a few commissions this week and I'm hoping to have some more to show you guys soon! This custom Harry Potter commission was way fun to illustrate!  I created it with Copic and Prismacolor markers on some mixed media paper by Strathmore. I love using the mixed media paper mostly because it's extremely durable. I love layering markers and pencils and pens and stuff, so I find it really holds up well with my process!

 

 I also have been obsessed with watching The Great British Baking Show lately! (Anyone else with me??) Baking is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time, so it's fun to watch a friendly competition about it. I pick up a lot of techniques from it (and get really hungry, too!) They always say to watch out for "soggy bottoms" with their pies and tarts on the show and it always makes me giggle.

 

 

Finally, I started working on a custom shadow box these past couple weeks and wanted to share a bit of the beginning stages with you guys! I'm thinking of documenting the whole process so that I can make a blog post about it from start to finish when it's done!
