I can't stop listening to Elton John

Hey guys!
Do you even understand how much I've been listening to Elton John this past week? It's out of control.
Anyways, I have to find a new place to live (again) ... I really hate moving. It is the worst and top most stressful thing to me. But it's okay because it will be over sooner than I think. I just got to find a place first. (tee hee?)

This is an hour speed painting I did for one of my followers on Instagram. She won the giveaway I did a while ago and the print got lost in the mail! So when I resent the mail, I decided to include a little gift! Isn't she the cutest?

Here is the pottery as promised! This was a father's day present for my dad. He loves the Green Bay Packers, specifically Vince Lombardi. Turned out better than I thought it would... it was my first time painting a portrait on a cup! Sheesh.

These are some "His" and "Her" mugs I made for my friends that just got married. I painted them in her wedding colors and even painted her flower on the bottom.

Thank you all for your love and support! It keeps me plugging along!

See ya, suckers!

I'm going on vacation tomorrow!
I thought I would post a tiny bit before I go... I'm sure I'll have a lot of drawings to show you on the next blog post! I made these His & Her mugs for my friends that are getting married.... they really enjoyed them! I also apologize for my legs being in the pictures. I just wanted to take quick snapshots before I gave them away!

I love the Royal Tenenbaums so much, so I decided to draw Margot Tenenbaum. It's the first of my many fan art drawings that I am planning on selling at Comic Con! Yahoo!

A little doodle I did this week from an interwebz picture.

mostly turquoise stuff

Yeah, yeah, yeah... It's been over a week since I updated this blog, but I decided that updating on Wednesdays will be the best for me this summer, so lets plan on that! :D It was my birthday this week, so cut me some slack, yo!
Still waiting on getting all my finals back, but I should start posting sketchbook/finals stuff next Wednesday! So get stoked for that, dudes.
Here are some drawings I have been working on... Apparently, blue was my color of choice for the week.

I got this new gold metallic marker that I have been messing around with... I really like adding details with it. With this doodle, I got a little carried away... heh heh.

This drawing was done by my good friend Alex for my birthday. Its a drawing of me destroying a reptilian creature. You guys have seen his stuff on my blog before, so why don't you just go check out his stuff? He rocks... visit it right HERE!

I decided to draw a self portrait the other night... besides the silly cartoon I did of myself, I haven't done a self portrait since high school. This definitely means a lot to me and its one of the few times where everything turned out exactly how I planned it. I am so proud of this.

Ta-dah! I made this bowl and just covered it with doodles... fun, eh? (See? I told you everything I've been making is drawn in turquoise blue!)

Well, I hope your week has been awesome! Talk with you soon!

Happy [insert holiday here] !!!

Hello! Happy Holidays! Merry New Year! Happy Christmas... and whatever!

It's been a bit since I update my blog :) Besides the normal hustle and bustle of the holiday season/end of finals, I had to have a small procedure done on my weird toe. Although it set me back a wee bit, I am doing well and ready for the new school semester to start! As some of you know, I work in a pottery shop. So, I wanted to take a second and show you the Christmas presents I've been so preoccupied with!

This is an elephant-shaped piggy bank for my little sister. I realized that I never really give her any of my artwork, so I wanted to make something special for her :) It's a dream bank I covered with a bunch of stuff she likes. Hopefully, she will use it to save money for her dreams... whatever those may be!

A silly little mug I made for my friend. It's that dinosaur/godzilla thing I drew for an Inktober entry, but instead of eating ramen noodles, this one is just saying "hi." How friendly of him.

I made a platter for my father as a Christmas present.. He has a platter just like it that has been in the family for a while. But recently, it broke :( So I decided to make a new, more durable version for him! It was interesting trying to copy such a unique style.

This is one of the smaller pumpkins I painted for Halloween.. it was still hanging on after 2 months. His face looks cooler now that he is all lumpy and rotten.

Hope that you all have a Happy New Year and that life gives you the best things!

cheers,
Ashley Fairbourne
